FAQs
FAQs
Is this a safe space?
Yes. While we strive to provide an exceptional space for all persons, those of marginalized communities and of communities whom have historically been targets of violence need more consideration than others. We work to make space for the comfort and inclusion of all.
What should I do if something occurring in the store is making me uncomfortable?
Bring your concern to a staff member. Immediately is always better, but any reporting is better than none. We can’t observe every interaction at all times, and rely on the community to help us maintain our space. If you are uncomfortable speaking with staff in person, you can text the shop at (509) 404-3111 to voice your concern.
The door says I need to disarm; does that apply to me?
All guests must disarm prior to entry. Weapons are not allowed in the shop. This includes anything a staff member might consider a weapon. Please err on the side of caution – when in doubt, leave it out(side, secured in your vehicle).
On-duty local jurisdiction law enforcement on official business are exempt only to the extent required by law.
Playspace
One of the core goals of our shop is to provide a space for the community to gather and engage in their hobbies. Our playspace is available free of charge during all open hours. Unfortunately spatial and temporal restrictions apply to us all, and we can’t fit an infinite number of people in the space, and we do have to close now and then!

FAQs
FAQs
When is the playspace available?
The play space is open and available free of charge during all business hours. Some portions are often closed or restricted while we host larger events, which may at times require closing the entire playspace for the exclusive use of said event. If you’re settling in for a long day, swing by the counter to ask if there’s a good place to set up! If you’re trying to have a larger group (more than 4 people), call or text us to check availability. All RPG pods must be pre-registered for a table and time slot.
Planned complete closures of the play space will be posted across our website on the banner at the top of every page.
Can I use the play space for other games not listed above?
Absolutely! We don’t have organized play for every game, nor does every publisher offer organized play support. That doesn’t mean you aren’t welcome; we’re glad to host any game within our sphere – Card games, Board games, RPGs, Miniature games…if it doesn’t us electricity and can be played at a card table, you’re welcome to be here.
Can I host an RPG pod in the playspace?
Absolutely! However, due to the unique space, time, and noise considerations of roleplaying groups, we do require registration of all tables. Give us a call, text, or come in to see if we have availability that would meet your needs.
All RPG pods must be pre-registered for a table and time slot.
Do you have miniature games tables?
Yes indeed! We have a suite of miniature games tables standing at all times, with the normal exceptions relating to conflicting large events. The tables are set up with terrain for Warhammer 40,000 by default, but other terrain is available for use on request.
Please do not mix between tables, nor remove terrain from tables. If you have specific needs, staff are happy to assist.
Proxies
The use of proxy or counterfeit game objects is a complicated and series matter for all players and shops. The use of proxies can have a severe and permanent effect on our capacity to host events and provide promotional support. Proliferation of proxies can also erode trust in a community, and complicate the movement of game objects through the secondary market. Concurrently, many game communities value the use of proxies to reduce barriers to entry, increase player population, and provide more diverse expression. Our policy varies by game and need; adherence to this policy, as with all our policies, is mandatory.
MTG Proxy Policy
For all sanctioned events, including Commander League, no proxies are allowed.
Counterfeit Cards: Unauthorized reproductions, fakes or unauthorized custom cards designed to look or function like real Magic cards, are strictly prohibited. These may not be sold, traded or printed within a WPN store or used in any capacity within events scheduled in EventLink.
For all unsanctioned events, which are specifically NOT run in EventLink, and which will never provide promotional products supplied by WPN, player playtest cards may be used. These events include cEDH events, and Premodern events.
Player-made Playtest Cards: Cards that players can mockup to test how a deck might play. They can’t be used in events scheduled in EventLink or sold in stores. These cannot look like authentic Magic cards.
Key Points
- No trade or sale
Neither Player-made Playtest Cards nor Counterfeit Cards may be traded nor sold in the shop.
- No Reproductions
Player-made Playtest Cards must be distinctly and easily distinguishable from Magic cards.
- Unsanctioned Only
Player-made Playtest Cards may ONLY be used on unsanctioned events. If you’re playing in an event, and didn’t register for the event in TopDeck, you can’t use them.
